LARGE GOODS VEHICLE LICENCE CATEGORIES

Each category is unaffected by the type of body or the number of axles fitted to the vehicle!

	LGV C (formerly HGV2/3) Any rigid truck up to the maximum of 30 tonnes (may also tow 750kg small trailer).

LGV C + E (formerly HGV 1) Any truck towing any trailer up to a maximum of 41 tonnes.

All grades and categories of Large Goods Vehicle training is available at our Northland Road, training centre.

LGV - Category C

• Well-positioned & easy to use controls.
• Simple 6 speed gearboxes.
• Adjustable steering wheel & power assisted steering.
• Compact turning circle & good manoeuvrability.
• Excellent all-round visibility and smooth ride.
• Euro 3 - low pollution engines and low noise levels.
• Air suspended cloth seats and safety belts.
• Regularly maintained at approved service centres, ensuring high standards of safety and comfort.
• Our LGV C and C+E fleet includes Mercedes Atego's and Leyland Daf 45 series'.
• Air Conditioning.

LGV - Category C +E

• You must pass LGVC before obtaining LGV C+E
• Holding your full LGVC licence, with provisional C+E entitlement, you can progress to LGV C+E training and test without delay
• Use the same familiar LGV C training vehicle and add our drawbar trailer.
